I am Andreja , a dedicated Sport Therapist specializing in sport massage therapy and injury prevention. I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their best health through personalized therapy.I am thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with you on a personal level and share a bit about my journey. I believe that adding a touch of authenticity helps bridge the gap between being a face on a website and a real person with a story. So, thank you for taking the time to join me on this journey.
My exploration of the mind-body connection started in my teens when Eastern practices captivated me. The emphasis on the unity of body, mind, and soul through movement, breathwork, and guided imagery resonated deeply. This passion led me to the United States, where I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, delving into neuroscience, mental health, and alternative treatments. Simultaneously, I immersed myself in Reiki, finding solace and healing in its energy.
Navigating this tumultuous period, I encountered professionals who highlighted problems without offering solutions. I felt stuck, defined by my struggles, and the activities I once loved lost their lustre. I was bouncing back and forth for some time until I decided to, “F*** it!” I stopped taking Prozac, and within a few months, I enrolled in the MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology program at Brunel University, UK. I wanted to understand what was happening to me and how to heal myself.
My path evolved into the world of fitness, where I discovered the transformative power of movement. Obtaining a Personal Training Diploma and additional certifications, I found joy in helping others thrive. However, life took an unexpected turn, and I moved back to Europe, facing challenges that triggered depression, an eating disorder, and anxiety.
Today, armed with MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology, qualifications in Sport Massage, Jungian Coaching, and ongoing explorations in mental health within the athletic domain, I have come to understand that not all injuries are physical. My personal battles have fuelled a commitment to support others in their well-being and athletic pursuits. I have learned that the real fight comes from within, and my focus is on empowering individuals to rediscover their inner spark. Whether you are navigating mental health challenges, striving for athletic excellence, or seeking a supportive ally, I am here to guide and support you on your unique path to well-being. As a Sport Therapist, I have been practicing sport therapy for over several years, helping athletes and individuals recover from injuries and improve their performance. My experience as a sport therapist has equipped me with the skills to provide the best care possible.
Currently, my focus lies in the intricate realm of the human body, delving into biomechanics, injuries, and prevention. I am driven by a deep curiosity to understand the physical aspects of injuries, which, I believe, forms a crucial foundation for comprehensive well-being.
Looking ahead, my aspirations include earning a PhD in a psychology-related field, aiming to integrate my passion for both the physical and psychological aspects of health. This endeavour aligns with my commitment to continuously elevate my skills and evolve as a holistic practitioner.
